A savior’s touch

Oceans raging within a tiny heart
Tears whelming down a sunken cheek
Yet a sweet little voice says
Be still

A heart broken beyond repair
Nor mended but rather renewed
Hearts of stone never responsive
Changed divinely by love

When the Saviour came knocking at the door
My heart pounded for lust was on its wall
Ashamed to open for filth on the floor
He said open and I’ll cleanse them all

Reluctant, I let him in
Out ran shame and pain
I’ve been set free,
I’ve been set free

Heart cry in distress

How sweet it is to drink peace
When accusation has nowhere to stand
When lies are shut down in jail
And love smiles down a troubled soul

I sought for peace but found it not
For joy but in vain
Distress and anguish overpowers me
While yet my short hands grasp not joy

I’m told there is joy in his presence
But how do I approach the almighty I have never known
Who gives everlasting happiness
At whose knees I lay weeping

Touch my distressed soul
May I lean on the everlasting arms
On which is comfort forever more
Lord my soul yearns for you

A voice to hear

when my strength was drained
and my being neglected my Lord
I mustered courage
to go seek my love

as I knelt in his presence
showering his majesty praises
tears whelmed down my cheeks
for his presence engulfed me

I recounted him my sorrows
I poured out my heart unto him
how much longer shall I wait
my patience dwindle

my heart hungers for you
my whole being engulfed by your fire
how much longer my beloved
till your silvery-dulcet voice I hear again

Thoughts on Jesus

1 Corinthians 1:18-21: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

I’m just imagining when the disciples saw Jesus for the first time. They would have had high expectations for him being the Messiah. They would have expected an handsome, heavily built, powerful warrior of a Messiah. They wouldn’t even expect him to be from Galilee. They would expect a King tall and mighty but Jesus baffled them all.

How humble our Lord was. He wasn’t even born in a King’s palace or the best hospital. Even I can imagine what Mary would face and the critics she would face because no one or a lot would believe she conceived of the Holy spirit and that a virgin would give birth. I can imagine what Jesus childhood would have been like. I’m sure people would have maltreated him because of his birth circumstance. He never went to school and if he went, I could imagine his classmates abusing him as the son born in Adultery and the son of an unknown father because no one would believe he was born of a virgin and the son of God conceived by the Holy spirit.

Before his baptism of water and of the Holy spirit, he was just an ordinary carpenter and not even many believed on him because he came from a despised town. No wonder many couldn’t believe on him because of these.

But one lesson we must all learn is that even being the son of God, normally we would have expected him to have all the best but he chose to humble himself, strip himself of all heavenly and earthly glory just to live among us and die for our sins. We must learn to be humble like our God.

No wonder, a lot of people who don’t believe in him are the ones that think they are self-sufficient. The rich, the rulers, the proud, the intellectual etc. but it was different for the sinners, the oppressed, the broken-hearted, the poor, the captives, the blind. That is the power of the gospel, the power of God unto salvation, it has more effect on these deprived people, the hopeless, the helpless, the outcasts.

— 1 Corinthians 1:18-21: See bottom

When Jesus touches you like he touched the Saul of Tarsus, your life would never be the same. You will be shocked at how different your life becomes. When Simon Peter encountered Jesus, after three years, he also could testify. What about the woman caught in adultery or the demoniac. I could mention them all but for sake of time and space.

What an unconditional love God has lavished on us. Even though he is the King of kings, Lord of lords, our God is humble, loving and would willingly sacrifice everything to gain our love.

All power, might, glory, adoration be to God almighty. If you are reading this and you don’t have Jesus as your Lord and saviour, what is stopping you? Is it sin that appears like pleasures of a moment but in the end, it leads to death and hell. No amount of wisdom, knowledge, study, fasting, prayer, ritual washing and good deeds can wash away your sins. These are good things to do and acquire but they can never wash away your sins. Only the blood of Jesus shed no the cross of calvary 2000+ years ago can do it.

Letter to my Heavenly Father

Dear Heavenly Father,

I sure know you are doing very great. It is with unexplainable joy that I write this letter to you summing up the emotions rumbling in me at the moment. The great peace of mind you have given me since the day you broke the bars of iron asunder and rescued me from the dungeon where I was chained down in the pits of hell.

How much I long to finally come to live with you so that we can all joy on the day of your great feast where Jesus would finally get married to his bride, the church. I know that we shall soon meet but the wait feels like an unending tunnels going in cycles. I am aware you are preparing our mansion wherewith your son Jesus Christ promised to me and the rest of the brethren here.

Besides this, your Holy spirit has been very kind to me and he has been a great blessing to me and I am forever grateful for this. Even though I have fallen several times, he has been my ever-present comfort even in the times of trouble, he stood with me as The Rock of Ages. I still have a lot of work to do with which you have assigned but I am still learning in the school you have enrolled me in. My teacher, friends and school mates are so very kind and loving.

One more thing, The books which contains your word here are getting interesting as I read them day by day but I am also praying for more understanding because it contains other things I need the spiritual mind and eyes to discern which I believe with time, you will see to it. I shall write to you again soon.

Please extend my regards to the cloud of witnesses in heaven and my special greetings to Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour, the Alpha and the Omega, the Prince of Peace but until then, goodbye

Your lovely son

Oh that men would praise the Lord!

Good morning everyone.

Have you sang praises to the Lord God almighty, the King of kings, the Lord of Lords, the ancient of days, the one who has never lost a battle. Oh that men would sing his praises, oh that men would glorify the God of all flesh, the ancient of days, the merciful God, the awesome God, the majestic God, the prince of peace, the Alpha and the omega. The creator of inventors of all inventions, the mighty most high, most wonderful, most beautiful, most intelligent, excellent, indomitable, undefeated, powerful, loving, God.

Give all glory to the Lord God almighty.

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

Psalms 107:21-22

The Lord my all

Who is this Lord of glory?
coming on the clouds of heaven
what is his name?
Jesus the Lord of lords

the Lord had me assured
for he had been my shield from my youth
though many hate me
he had eternally loved me

when enemies stretch forth their hand
to extinguish my light
they laboured in vain
for the Lord kept me

In God will I trust
in him will I confide
for wisdom and knowledge are his
therefore will I not be shaken
